Angel Eyez

We can always trust the master organizer, G, to come up with the great ideas. This time it was for the inkmeister Danny Tattoo to step away from his inky arte for a few moments to drop us some of his favorite cuts! And then G and I would wrap our own little offerings around Danny's trax to bring you a sweet rola sandwich. G of course had already supplied the wrapper with his usual high-quality cover; and his great title, "Angel Eyez", has a much better ring than "Subway" too! Hope our collaboration keeps the hunger pangs at bay for you soul food junkies! Thanks to Danny especially for taking the time to help us out.....

    Right on!!! This caught my attention so fast,.... I been collecting the compilations from you guys from last year since i'm new to this page. But this compilation with track 18 i have to say it does not belong here. Thumbs down Rossyboy, but i think we have to leave the ROCKSTEADY or SKINHEAD REGGAE artist away from the real Soul Chune Compilations that this great guys have given me so far. Sorry to say this guys, but thanks for the other great chunes.

    Nuff thanks G MAN, RB $ Danny T for some real good tunes. Of course you know I don't mind rocksteady/reggae as long as it's soulful, amd so many of them are.

    Sorry, Symarip74, that you don't appreciate my pick. Maybe you should be less pedantic about your classifications. Many Island artists like Jackie can sing great soul songs too. I think we'll have to agree to differ on this one.....and it was the title of the track that caught my attention anyway, and surely that, at least, is appropriate ! Glad you like the rest of the set !

    Hey, sometimes there's a track you don't like ... so what. These guys go out of their way to provide some of the best shit around. It takes a lot of time and effort. If you don't have something good to say, don't bother with the comments. Mind your manners.

    Just to say that this old comp picked up another 70 odd downloads with the new link, more than any other to date....
    so it's still proving popular !

    And thanks to Gary J for getting my back - I missed the comment when it went up in January. The original response I composed from me to Symarip74 was far removed (and much more expl*c*t!) from the diplomatic one I eventually gritted my teeth and posted ! But I owe it to G Man to pretend I'm really a nice guy deep down inside. After all it is his blog .....
