  6. What can I say .....but whow! The familia scores again with a collection of superlative soul music that spans some 56 years.
It's not really fair to single out particular songs for praise, since each contributor has put their share of "blood, sweat & tears" into their selections covering the gamut from sweet to deep.
Personal faves...the Roger Hatcher track, Buddy Lamp & The Superlatives...but that's just me.
My thanks & respect to all the contributors. Keep up the soul crusade!

PS: I have just been watching a BBC Proms televised recording with Paloma Faith & Ty Taylor singing "I'd Rather Go Blind".....soul in places and from people you would not expect, but absolutely electrifying! Check it out on BBC I-player.

  10. What can I say but,,,,wow.......the Familia steps up to the plate and hits another home run with soul sweet and deep spanning the years from 1957 to 2013. Where could you find a radio station with programming like this? My thanks to all the contributors for all their hard work and, above all, generosity....not to mention good taste.
It's a tad churlish, perhaps to pick out particular gems amidst a cache of diamonds but my own particular faves are the Roger Hatcher, Buddy Lamp & The Superlatives....each to their own.

    Regards & respect
    Soulvationman

PS, for those with access to BBC I-player and are "open-eared" check out Paloma Faith @ the Proms for her duet with Ty Taylor of "I'd Rather Go Blind"....exhilarating live soulful performances are still to be found
