Well, folks, here's the latest and greatest collaboration from the krew. Thanks to everyone who managed to make a contribution. Maybe the others will make it in next time. I've included a couple of bonus tracks (that's the editor's privilege !) I couldn't resist the opener to set the mood. Behind Bars Productions sent me a bundle of rolas; so I picked out the three I didn't already have, on the basis that if I didn't have them, then maybe some of the rest of you might be missing them too ! I used his smooth Cymande instrumental as the bonus closer to see us out. All in all, in my humble opinion, I think the set stands up well with the previous efforts in this series. There should be something in here for every listener. Let me know what you think yourselves......!

Lonely Tearz: Smooth Dreamer Vol. 6

Here is the 6th Volume of Lonely Tearz jumping ahead of Vol. 5...
which I am sure will follow ... :-/
First I want to thank The G-MAN for his great choices of rolas and for this continued series, I really love that Mad Lads cut "Why" and Lady Fox & The Foxettes, along with the rest. I included a cover version of a song I had on my last Fairy Tale comp that I think caught some ears including my own by Suzy & The Copycats, Come Back To Me...wait till you listen to this Klass Generation cover version if you haven't before, a killer for sure. The first track by The Knight Brothers in my opinion outdid The Everly Brothers original version and the Soul versions always did in my book....besides I think it made a great opening for this Lonely Tearz Smooth Dreamer volume.
Anyways G and I hope you enjoy this classic compilation filled with nice ballads of Doowop & Soul.....We sure would like to read your comments and let us know what you think, Enjoy....

One day I wanted to listen to some firme oldies.....so I made myself a playlist. That playlist is what is included in this album. While making the original playlist.....by the time I got to Marv Johnson I realized that this was the kind of oldies that the vatos from East L.A. would bump. I had a homeboy....an Uncle from East Los and he would bring all kinds of oldies to bump.....and the majority of these songs were the ones that he brought along. ....that's basically the story behind this album.

track later realizing it's on The Soul Train Gang LP which I have so I'm not sure it was re done by the Soul Train Gang, so until I have a chance to play that LP I will assume this version are the Whispers with Carrie Lucas.....
