One day I wanted to listen to some firme oldies.....so I made myself a playlist. That playlist is what is included in this album. While making the original playlist.....by the time I got to Marv Johnson I realized that this was the kind of oldies that the vatos from East L.A. would bump. I had a homeboy....an Uncle from East Los and he would bring all kinds of oldies to bump.....and the majority of these songs were the ones that he brought along. ....that's basically the story behind this album.
This comp is an introduction to the East L.A. type oldies. I'm from the Valley...818.....but have a lot of homeboys from East L.A. and I got most of my oldies from them.
